This is a great southern treat for breakfast or dinner.
Ingredients:
4tbsp butter
5c milk
1/2tsp salt
1/2tsp hot sauce
1 garlic clove pressed
11/2c uncooked byrd mill stone-ground white grits
1 10oz block of white chedder cheese graited
Directions
1. Bring 2 tbsp butter, milk, salt, hot sauce, garlic, and 5 cups of water to a boil in a medium size dutch oven over medium high heat. Gradually stir in grits and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer stiring acasionaly. 1 1/2 hours or until thicken, stir in cheese and remaining 2 tbsp butter until melted. Serve immediatly.
