Ingredients:
½ cup granulated sugar
½ brown sugar
¼ cup shortening
¼ unsalted butter or margarine softened
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¾ cup Byrd Mill Peanut Flour
1 cup Patrick Henry All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoons salt
½ cup dark chocolate chips
Directions:
Mix sugars, shortening, butter, egg and milk in large bowl. Sift in the dry ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips. Then cover and refrigerate about 1 hour or until firm. Heat oven to 375ºF. Shape dough into 1 ¼-inch balls and flatten slightly with your palm or a spatula before baking. Place them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
